Keeping the Internet safe from the United Nations

On Wednesday, November 16, the historic “World Summit on the Information Society” convened in Tunisia. And while the name given to this United Nations’ sponsored meeting sounds sophisticated and futuristic, in reality the delegates in attendance will be debating a measure that could put the greatest technological development of recent decades at risk. On the summit’s agenda will be several different proposals to strip control of the World Wide Web from the United States and entrust it to the UN.
