Helen L. Birt

Helen L. Birt, 78, passed away on November 22, 2005. She was born on October 30, 2005. Mrs. Birt was a lifelong resident of Fallbrook, CA.

Mrs. Birt was a homemaker for more than 57 years. Earlier she worked as a bookkeeper for Bank of America, Fallbrook High School and her husband’s insurance business. Mrs. Birt graduated from Fallbrook High School and was a life member of Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and horseback riding.

Mrs. Birt was preceded in death by son William James Birt in 1976. She is survived by her husband of 57 years William W. Birt, Fallbrook, CA; daughter & son-in-law Lynanne & Rick McDowell, Fallbrook, CA; brother James P. Armfield, Carthage, MO; three grandchildren, Julie Birt, Oceanside, CA, Trina Autrey, Fallbrook, CA, and Sgt. Willima G. Autrey, Ft. Campbell, KY; and one great-grandchild, Caitlyn Autrey, Colorado, CA.

Graveside and burial services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery, Fallbrook, CA. The family suggests memorial donations to Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary, 624 E. Elder St., Fallbrook, CA 92028. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
