December Book Talk

Friends of the Fallbrook Library will host the December Book Talk at 1:30 p.m. in the Fallbrook Public Utility District’s (FPUD) boardroom on Thurs., Dec. 8. FPUD is located at 990 E. Mission Road. This month’s selection is “Twilight in the Desert” by Matthew Simmons, an oil industry investment banker from Houston. This nonfiction book is about the Saudi Arabia oil reserves and the fact that these fields are nearing peak production. The book is a political statement to inform readers of the potential economic crisis when these fields are exhausted.
