Veterans Memorial Garden at Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON — On November 18, a new sign for the Camp Pendleton Memorial Garden was unveiled and dedicated. The sign was donated by Mrs. Jan Ward, a member of the Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores Docents, in memory of her late husband, Mr. Eugene “Gene” Ward. Gene had been a member of the group from 2001 until his death in 2004. It was after Gene’s death that Jan joined the organization, as it made her feel closer to him.
