FALLBROOK — Well, not really, but 90 fourth grade students from Mary Fay Pendleton School came to the old Reche School House to tour this 109-year-old building that had replaced the burned-out first school of Fallbrook.
These students heard how the Reche family came here in 1876. They were the first people to settle here who weren’t Native American. They raised money, put up a hotel of small cabins and opened a store. On July 7, 1875, the San Diego County School District from portions of Monserate, Mt.
