FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook High Madrigals and Avenue Singers are bringing holiday cheer throughout Fallbrook this holiday season. Numerous church and community service groups are adding the choir’s voices to their holiday gatherings at venues such as the Grand Tradition, Bonsall Community Center and Fallbrook Golf Course. Handbells will be a delightful addition to several of the performances.
The traditional Winter Concert will be Thursday, December 15, at 7 p.m. in the Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets for this event will be available at the door.
In addition to their various appearances, the students are continuing their fundraising efforts toward their trip to Carnegie Hall and musical production this spring. The beautiful Paul Ecke poinsettias they sold last month are being distributed this week, but Fallbrook residents may be able to still purchase a limited number at the Winter Concert. On December 10 and 21, choir members will be in the Escondido Barnes & Noble bookstore, providing gift-wrapping services. On December 21, another team will be wrapping at the Oceanside Barnes & Noble.
As an ongoing fundraiser, the choir is collecting Major Market receipts, of which Major Market has generously agreed to donate to the choir fund. If you wish to support this effort you may give the receipts to any choir member or simply put them in an envelope and mail them to VOICE at PO Box 233, Fallbrook, CA 92088.
