Pie money given to Fallbrook Food Pantry

FALLBROOK — A group of women and youth recently made pies that sold for a total of $363, which was given to the Fallbrook Pantry to purchase items for local babies. This group of Fallbrook United Methodist Church peeled 98 pounds of apples; used 50 pounds of sugar, 31 pounds of canned pumpkin and three cups of cinnamon; and cracked 136 eggs to bake the pies.

The money raised is equivalent to 1,365 bottles of baby food formula, or 208 diapers, Jillian Levi and her team of workers announced to the congregation.
