FALLBROOK- It’s that time of year… the Toys for Tots program is in full swing now! The program began in 1947 by a group of Marine Corps Reservists in the Los Angeles area to help needy children and has spread out to include all 50 states today.
Coldwell Banker Landmark Group is the central location for the toy collection drive co-chaired by Abby Elston and Tess Hansford. The Marine Corps Reserves at Camp Pendleton facilitates boxes, posters and space for storage until toys are put into the awaiting hands of deserving boys and girls. Boxes are initially distributed to area merchants that are eager participants to help with drop off points.
