'In your face, Fallbrook!'

It was the ugliest thing that has ever been allowed in the Fallbrook Christmas Parade: The Storm’s rude, inappropriately behaving green entry. It is hoped their baseball games are in better taste.

To have something as crass and out of the Christmas spirit as that thing — it became insulting as whatever it was pulled up its skirt and “mooned” the crowds (with children watching!) and ridiculed the community for the length of the parade. With its gyrating hips and bouncing belly it even made fun of people who are overweight. Some of us can’t help our weight problems, but to be made fun of because we can’t jiggle and wave our own butts in the town’s face is no reason for us to have to take The Storm’s insult. My father took me to the stadium the day that Lou Gehrig retired. Had you been doing the antics you are so proud of, you would have been thrown out of the stadium, not off the field, out of the stadium.

In my opinion, The Storm, you have shown your true colors and the contempt you have for the people of Fallbrook by allowing such an idea to become part of your Christmas theme. Shoving this green monster in our faces isn’t professional, nor does it show reverence for the Christmas season. I did not miss the fact that a KB Homes truck provided transport for this monster.

You put that thing in the parade to say, “In your face, Fallbrook — we’ll do what we want!” However, the rest of us weren’t permitted a float in the parade; we had to stay on the sidewalk.
