Ramona Rodeo Queen applications

Applications are now being accepted for the Ramona Rodeo Queen Pageant to be held March 25, 2006. Applications are due by January 8, 2006.The Ramona Rodeo Queens Pageant is held annually and young ladies ages 8-22 will have the opportunity to compete for the titles of Queen (ages 17-22), Jr. Queen (ages 14-16), Young Miss (ages 11-13) and Little Miss (ages 8-10). The Ramona Rodeo Queens represent the youth of our community who wish to promote the sport of rodeo, and in so doing, promote the great western way of life with its strong morals and values. The Ramona Rodeo Sr. Queen will have the opportunity to represent Ramona in the Miss Rodeo California Pageant. Kayla Spurlock from Ramona is the current Miss Rodeo California and now has the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. All contestants will be judged on horsemanship, rodeo and equine knowledge, personal interview, speech and appearance. All young ladies will attend a weekly clinic starting Jan 10 until the pageant date to help them prepare for the competition.
