Book reading, signing at Irish pub

FALLBROOK — Patrick Burke, author of the new book “So Mammy Said,” will hold a reading and book signing event at JJ Landers Irish Pub, 125 S. Main Ave., Fallbrook, on Tuesday, December 20, at 7:30 p.m.

“So Mammy Said” is a powerful chronicle of a young Irish Catholic boy’s life in a small village in Southern Ireland detailing the trials he faces and triumphs he enjoys along the way to adulthood. The book gives insight into the young Patrick Burke, one of 14 children. Filled with Irish wit and mishaps, the adventures of Pat’s colorful childhood rival those of Huckleberry Finn.
