FALLBROOK — Fallbrook High School senior Kristi Butterworth has been selected by Rotary District 5340 of San Diego as its official Interact Representative on the 2006 Rotary International Tournament of Roses float. Interact is a service and social club for young persons age 14-18. Each club is sponsored by a local Rotary Club that guides Interactors in developing local and international projects.
As the Director for Community Relations of the Fallbrook High School Interact Club, Butterworth is involved in coordinating local activities, such as Interact participation in Rotary’s Lobsterfest, routine visits to the Skilled Nursing Facility and the cleanup of graffiti in Fallbrook in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Fallbrook.
Butterworth has a 4.367 grade point average and has been on the Principal’s Honor Roll for the past two years. She is also very active in student and community relations as the President of CSF, Club Commissioner of ASB and as a member of the Madrigals choir and her school’s literary magazine club. Most recently, she received the Fallbrook High School Outstanding Senior Girl Award and was selected as an Outstanding Student of America.
She is currently featured with seven other Interactors representing the Southern California Districts selected to ride on the float January 2, 2006, on the Official Rotary Tournament of Roses Web page at http://www.rotaryfloat.org.
