Local authors sign books

FALLBROOK — Local Fallbrook authors Sarah Bates and Carmi Cosmos will sign their book “Out of Our Minds: Wild Stories by Wild Women” at Carrie Repking’s Book Nook on Saturday, December 17, from noon to 2 p.m. The Book Nook is located at 129 East Hawthorn, one block east of Main Avenue.

“Out of Our Minds” (iUniverse, $11.95) is a collaboration of 16 short stories written individually by Cosmos and Bates. The collection features tales of people who step into the spotlight but once, stumbling, making their way through a brief span of time you will never forget.

Cosmos and Bates are local professional writers who met in a novel-writing class. Their works have won local and national writing awards and have appeared in the North County Times and the Village News. Together they formed the Fallbrook Professional Writers, a critique group of six who meet monthly.
