Saturday dawned cool and damp on Red Mountain but we were cheered by typically gorgeous Fallbrook weather as we headed into town on East Mission a little after 3 o’clock. A moment of sadness caught my breath as we viewed a green hat with white trim in the middle of the road. Meant for a volunteer elf, I was sorry for someone’s disappointment at the loss.
