David Salm’s first experience racing motocross for season points started well December 3 with a pair of second-place finishes, and Salm also finished second in a pair of December 10 races before a broken collarbone eliminated him from season contention.
The Potter High School eighth-grader was competing in the winter division for the Lake Elsinore track and rides a Honda CR85. Salm, who is 13, won second in the division for 12-year-old and 13-year-old competitors December 3. He competed in two motos and was second in both.
