FALLBROOK — On Tuesday, December 20, at approximately 11 a.m., a woman sustained what appeared to be minor to moderate injuries when she took a fall on a hiking expedition in DeLuz. North County Fire Protection District responded to the call for assistance, confirmed Captain Don Stevens. “The crew had to walk in on a dirt trail 500 to 600 yards and carry the injured woman out on a backboard,” he said. The accident happened on a trail that parallels the Sandia Creek crossing. The woman was transported by air ambulance to an area medical facility....
