Smiar named 2006 president of No. County Association of Realtors

VISTA — North County Realtor Chuck Smiar has been installed as the 2006 president of the North San Diego County Association of Realtors (NSDCAR).

Smiar, who works out of Prudential California Realty’s Escondido office, succeeds Kevin Forrester as the top elected officer of the association that includes nearly 7,000 members.

Heather Benson, a Realtor with Prudential’s Carlsbad office, is president-elect and will succeed Smiar next year.

Other NSDCAR officers and directors taking office in the new year include Mark Abbott of Del Mar, director-at-large; Nancy Layne of Rancho Santa Fe, District 1 director; Gretchen Mitchell of Encinitas, District 3 director; Lee Sterling of Carlsbad, District 4; Peggy Yeomans of Oceanside, District 5 director; George Cosh of Vista, District 6 director; Diane Conaway of Valley Center, District 7 director; Mark Oatman of Bonsall, District 8 director; and Larry Wight of Escondido, District 9 director.
