Planning Group displayed courage

If you weren’t at the December 19 Fallbrook Planning Group meeting, you missed the courageous move by the board to reject Pardee Homes’ proposal to massively increase the density of the I-15/SR-76 corridor. Pardee’s outrageous plan for a “smart growth new community” of 1,100 homes, along with other planned developments in the same area, would change Fallbrook’s rural character forever and tax what is already an overburdened infrastructure. The community, members of Fair Plan and, most importantly, our board, were not fooled by Pardee’s slick presentation.
