Plackemeier wins Ray Guy Award

Ryan Plackemeier was selected as the winner of the 2005 Ray Guy Award, which is given to college football’s best punter.

The 2002 Fallbrook High School graduate was also a unanimous first-team All-American, receiving all-American honors on all ten known selection lists.

“I’ve got to give all the credit to God just for getting me there,” Plackemeier said.

Some of Plackemeier’s credit also goes to humans. “I’ve got to credit my coverage team,” he said. “When you’ve got guys like that it helps a lot.”
