RAINBOW — On January 3, Rainbow Valley Grange and Rainbow Valley Junior Grange installed their officers for 2006. The installing team consisted of Hank and Heidi Hitt and Jeannette Duarte.
During their business meeting following the installation, Chaplain Missy Dunckel and Master Ed Komski draped the Grange’s charter in memory of Daisy Daily, who passed away last month. Daisy first joined Rainbow Valley Grange in December of 1945. She then moved to northern California for a number of years, belonging to a Grange up there, until returning to Fallbrook and rejoining Rainbow Valley Grange a few years ago.
New Master Ed Komski has lots of plans for the Grange this year, including resuming its monthly breakfasts, starting a small thrift store at the Hall and increasing community involvement. Upcoming events are the annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner in March and the third annual Show Season Opener livestock competition on April 1 and 2. More information on the show can be found online at http://www.FallbrookSSO.com or by contacting Ed Komski at (760) 310-6500.
