Rainbow water struggles to meet DHS deadlines

Progress is being made by the Rainbow Municipal Water District (RMWD) in regards to it’s latest citation from the California Department of Health Services. In a special meeting on January 13, interim General Manager Chris Trees updated the board on the short-term deadlines given in the December 6 citation.

All deadlines were being met on time except for the installation of two flow meters, whose delivery is being delayed by the manufacturer, said Trees. Trees had notified DHS of the delay, but had not received a response as to their reaction.
