County offers pet microchipping

The San Diego County Department of Animal Services is offering microchips for dogs, cats and rabbits every Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $20 and includes national registration. Individuals simply need to bring their pet(s) to the County Animal Shelter at 2481 Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad. The shelter asks that dogs be on leashes and cats or rabbits be in carriers.
