Helicopter issue not about patriotism

For those of you who have lived in the (south) Fallbrook/Bonsall area for some time, you may recall it took numerous public meetings, calls, letters-to-the-editors and general complaints over a period of months to convince the Miramar/Pendleton powers-that-be to re-route their coastal (from the southwest) to the desert (the north east) helicopter flights higher — and to the north, over areas less populated.

Ultimately, the tax-paying citizens of our area prevailed, and we have had relatively peaceful skies for the past few years.
