Revived North County Volleyball Club begins play

The North County Volleyball Club, which is now based in Fallbrook, competed in its first tournament since ending its dormancy.

Two 16-and-under girls travel teams competed in the Anaheim tournament January 7. One team placed third in its five-team pool while the other team placed fourth in the five-team pool. “We did okay,” said club director Tom Saunders.

Saunders founded the North County Volleyball Club in 1983.

“I’ve had Fallbrook kids involved in the club program for 20 years,” he said.
