FALLBROOK — A great opportunity to buy pieces of art by local artists, with only a $100 bill, will be offered as a fundraiser on April 30 by Fallbrook’s Brandon Gallery, a nonprofit organization and a division of the Fallbrook Village Association. The event, called “The Ben’s Buck Event,” will feature the sale of artwork created by the members of Brandon Gallery for $100 per piece. Ben Franklin is pictured on the $100 bill, hence the name of the event. Other artwork will be available for modest prices, hoping to start off a new collector or to round out the collections of those now in the progress of collecting.
The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Palomares House, a project of the Fallbrook Land Conservancy, conveniently located at 1815 S. Stage Coach Lane.
In addition to the Ben’s Buck sale, a fashion show by Caravan and Jasmine Rose Boutique – Benjamin Carson Corner will be presented. Models will be selected members and friends of the Gallery.
Music will be provided by Frank Alves at the keyboard and tasty treats will be provided by local restaurants, including Trupiano’s, Cask ’n Cleaver, J.J. “Purty” Landers Irish Pub and Hukilau Restaurant.
Donation for the event will be $25 per person. Tickets are available at Brandon Gallery, located at 105 North Main Avenue in Fallbrook, and from gallery members. Tickets will also be available at the entry to the event.
In addition to the festivities of the day, attendees can meander through the adjacent sculpture garden. The garden, a peaceful retreat, has been created and maintained by the Fallbrook Land Conservancy and is in itself an interest to art lovers.
Adequate parking is available. For more information please call the gallery at (760) 723-1330 or visit the Gallery’s Web site http://www.brandonartfallbrook.com.
