American Legion Commander dies

Above all else, American Legion Commander Ken Van Antwerp was a patriot. He made no secret of his love, support and allegiance to the United States of America. Fallbrook and Bonsall residents will remember that and how he championed local youth for their academic successes, community service work and leadership efforts through the Fallbrook Community Student of the Month and Bonsall Student of the Month programs. Van Antwerp passed away on April 10, 2006, of lung cancer at the age of 82.
