Avo Festival: 75,000 to rush for the green gold

Seventy-five thousand people are expected to flock to the 20th Annual Avocado Festival this Sunday, April 23, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and you can’t blame them, because Fallbrook’s trademark green, pear-shaped fruit is something that enjoys great popularity with the masses.

“I just love avocados. Their taste is exquisite. I enjoy them every chance I get and look forward to the festival each year in Fallbrook,” said Patricia Beecham, a resident of San Juan Capistrano.
