Benefit concert for Friends of Santa Margarita River Foundation

FALLBROOK — Local art gallery owner Robert Sommers has announced that a benefit concert will take place in Fallbrook from 7 to 10 p.m. on June 30 for the Friends of the Santa Margarita River Foundation.

The Foundation is trying to fight plans by one of the largest contractors in California, Granite Construction, to create the nation’s largest open pit granite mine, abutting the Santa Margarita Ecologic Preserve and a stone’s throw from the Santa Margarita River.
