Horn-a-plenty

North County’s biggest problems are traffic and urbanization of our rural community, both due to development — courtesy of Supervisor Horn.

While SR 76 is probably the most dangerous and congested highway in California, development is allowed — no, encouraged — in an area that has far outstripped its infrastructure and the county (courtesy Bill Horn) has designated the I-15/SR 76 area as a “Transportation Node.” This manufactured designation allows massive development. So why are we stuck with this designation?

Chalk it up to the Horn/developer alliance. Adjacent owners are lining up to cash in on this transportation node. Twenty thousand to 30,000 homes in the adjacent San Luis Rey area are likely. What we need is a moratorium in the area until our infrastructure can accommodate increased growth.

And what has Horn been doing on our behalf while SANDAG was constantly reprogramming SR 76 money to other projects? Nothing. Horn is insensitive to these issues.

If you ever dealt with Horn personally you know what an arrogant, vindictive person he is. “If you want to know a man’s character give him power.” Now that we know his character it’s time to send this “Franciscan” Supervisor back to the abbey.

Twelve years of Horn is Horn-a-plenty.
