Women’s History Month celebrated at Potter

FALLBROOK — Potter Jr. High recently held its Fourth Annual Amazing American Women Writing Contest in honor of Women’s History Month. Nearly 175 students participated under the direction of American history teacher Ms. Janis Fountain. Congratulations for fine writing to Paul Balbuena, who wrote about Sally Ride; Haley Knox, who chose to research Anne Frank; and Christopher Nicholas and Tania Rocha, who both chose to write about Harriet Tubman. All four students were honored with certificates, cash prizes and a tea held in their honor by members of Delta Kappa Gamma on May 9.
