This year’s Summer Reading Program theme at Fallbrook Library, “Paws, Claws, Scales, and Tales,” promises to be warm and fuzzy. Registration for the free program for children through entering fifth grade runs at the library from Friday, June 16, through Monday, July 10.
The Teen Program, “Creature Feature @ Your Library” for sixth-graders through high school, also begins on June 16. Registration will also take place in front of Major Market on Saturday, June 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Information and instructions about the program will be distributed at registration.
Both summer programs are sponsored by the Fallbrook branch of the San Diego County Library and the Friends of the Fallbrook Library with the assistance of the National Charity League and Boy Scouts. The programs provide opportunities for children and teens to develop a lifelong love of books and reading and maintain or increase their reading levels while encouraging families to read together.
Fun, free, animal-related programs will be held on Wednesday and Thursday mornings during the month of July.
The preschool programs will be Wednesday mornings at 10:30 at the library. July 5: “Tunes and Tales” with Nancy St. John, July 12: “The Hollywood Mice” Puppetree Players, July 19: Pacific Animal Production’s Animal Show, and July 26: “Jumping Up” with Patty Hall Music Show.
