Promotion ceremonies were held this past Tuesday at Potter Junior High. Family and friends watched as their eighth-graders ended one chapter in their lives and got ready to begin another at the high school. The students had a fun time at the dance afterward and had the chance to kick up their heels with their friends. The following day the eighth grade class went to Knott’s Berry Farm and had a blast. It was a wonderful end-of-the-year celebration.
I have been writing this column for two years and have enjoyed every minute of working for the Village News. I would like to thank Julie Reeder for the fantastic opportunity to fulfill my dream of writing a newspaper column. I would also like to thank my mentor, Debbie Ramsey, for her unfailing support and unbelievable trust in me. This has been so much fun and I have really benefited from the chance to be a columnist for the Village News. I would also like to thank the teachers at Potter Junior High, who were there to help me with information for my column. I could not have done it without you. I am sure I will carry all the skills I learned from this experience into another job in the future. Thank you, everyone!!
