Gourd Art Festival nears

DE LUZ — The 10th Annual International Gourd Art Festival will be held on June 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will host over 55 gourd art exhibitors, a hands-on gourd crafting area, a nationwide gourd art competition, wine and microbrews in the Wine Garden, gourd art demonstrations, delicious food and refreshments, including an authentic Hawaiian luau, live entertainment, top competing hula dance troops, over 150,000 dried gourds, over 30 gourd art classes, a kids’ gourd art competition and artists’ presentations.
