MacFarlanes celebrate 45th

FALLBROOK — Bert and Martha MacFarlane were married on June 24, 1951, in Indianapolis, IN. Both graduated from Perdue University, Bert with a degree in aeronautical engineering and Martha with a degree in home economics.

They will be celebrating their anniversary with the MacFarlane family (of about 70) in Chicago, IL.

Bert served in the US Navy as an aviator for four years. He worked for Spectra Lavatories, a subsidiary of Hughes Aircraft. Martha worked as a home economics teacher until they both retired in 1989. Upon retirement, they moved Fallbrook, where they participate in the activities of the Fallbrook United Methodist Church.

They have two children, John, Los Angeles, CA, and Jennifer Raney, Portland, OR; four grandchildren and a fifth grandchild on the way.
