What comes to mind when you think of the word “missionary?” Maybe an earnest-looking person feeding an emaciated child in Africa, or a group of teens pounding nails into the particleboard walls of a Mexican orphanage. Missions can be this and much more. “It is what we are about as people of God,” said Pastor Mark Johnson of Christ The King Lutheran Church. “Mission work calls you out of yourself. Jesus came to us. He stepped over into our lives and He calls us to do the same.”
