Schmidt named new Warrior head football coach

Patrick Schmidt, a former UCLA and United States Football League player and a former West Torrance High School and Cal State University Long Beach assistant coach, has been named the new head varsity football coach for Fallbrook High School.

Schmidt was named to the position June 16. He succeeds Dennis Houlihan, who resigned May 12 after five seasons as the Warriors’ head coach.

“I’m humbled by it and understand the huge responsibility that we have over there,” Schmidt said of his new position.
