Cal Reed: Naval officer, Oscar nominee and devoted family man

Calvin “Cal” Reed

March 30, 1924 -- June 17, 2006

Cal Reed is a man who will be missed not only by his close friends and family, but also by friends who have known this humble Christian man since he was a boy. One of his friends, actress Betty White, said she would “have given anything to be at his service,” but is 84 and still working. She regretted that she needed to be on the set of the television show “Boston Legal” the day of Cal’s service.
