Open letter to Francine Busby

As a longtime registered Republican I too am outraged by the actions of the President, his administration and the “Young Turks” who have taken over our party. Since I’m not in your congressional district, however, I could not vote for you in the recent election. I must admit, though, that I’d hoped you’d win. It was not to be. In a district that is predominantly Republican you need to attract some of them to your cause. You did not do so. However, you can do it in November – but you need to appeal to us. For example, your TV appearance regarding “illegal immigration” showed that you were completely out of touch with the average American’s point of view. You need to change that wishy-washy attitude. The same thing goes for the use of Miramar as a joint-use location for the new San Diego airport. You must come out strongly for joint-use, and for what is obviously in the best interest of our citizens. Most common-sense Republicans, and I include myself in that category, are willing to put love of country above corporate greed, but we do have standards.
