Noted bluesman to perform at winery

Award-winning San Diego guitarist Robin Henkel plays blues with intensity, erupting at times with a fiery musical passion that’s best expressed through hollers, growls and yelps. Toe-tapping quickly gives way to full-throttle foot-stompin’ at Henkel’s shows, especially when he’s performing primitive Mississippi Delta blues. As an added treat, he frequently goes out into the audience to deliver his music “up close and personal.” Henkel and his blues trio will be performing from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, at Miramonte Winery.
