Dominguez to play for Pomona

Anthony Dominguez will continue his collegiate baseball career at Cal Poly Pomona.

The Calvary Chapel Murrieta High School graduate had played the past two seasons at Mount San Jacinto Community College. Dominguez was a shortstop for Mount San Jacinto in 2006 and played both shortstop and second base in 2005.

Cal Poly Pomona is a Division II athletic program within the National Collegiate Athletic Association. “Outstanding defensive player. I think he’s going to be competitive with the best at this level,” said Cal Poly Pomona coach Mike Ashman. “Look forward to having him on our campus.”
