Smyth closes out SDSU career with win over Fullerton St.

Temecula Valley High School graduate Paul Smyth played his final college baseball home game May 16 and was part of San Diego State University’s 9-8 win over second-ranked Fullerton State University.

Although Smyth was hitless in three at-bats, he also walked twice and scored a run. Smyth batted third for the Aztecs in his final home game and played left field.

“I’m glad we won the final game. Wish I could have done better for the team, but the team pulled through,” Smyth said.
