Fallbrook Quilt Guild meeting

Quilt teacher and lecturer Darlene Finney will be featured at our August 3 Quilt Guild meeting at the Community Center on Heald Lane. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Ms. Finney has taught for seven years the art of quilting. She will entertain us with humor and share her experience with quilting and a few of her prize-winning quilts. She began when everything was cut and sewn by hand. In 1990, she found a new world with the wonder of the rotary cutting tool. When she became a grandmother she became known as the “Queen of Quilts.”

Darlene teaches a beginner how easy quilt making is and then turns him or her into a seasoned quilter by the end of class. In her class you will learn the newest, fastest and easiest ways of getting from point A to point B. She loves the new technique and is well trained in teaching to others. Class will be held on Saturday, August 5, at the Fallbrook Public Utility building on Santa Margarita from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost of class is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. The community is welcomed. Please call Laura Small at (760) 728-1421, cell (702) 610-5756.
