FALLBROOK- One of Fallbrook’s underutilized treasures is the Pico Promenade, which meanders downtown between Fallbrook and Elder Streets. What strikes first-time “Promenaders” is just how clean and well-maintained the walkway is, as if there is a crew looking after it on a regular basis. In actuality there is just a crew of one, Jean Dooley, Fallbrook Save Our Forest volunteer. For over six years Jean has been removing trash, replacing dead plants, trimming trees, raking, pruning, and otherwise keeping the promenade in a park-light setting.
