New School scores high

For the second year in a row, The New School surpassed other local schools with an Academic Performance Index (API) score of 915. The two-year-old charter school, run by the Vallecitos School District, is located on Elder Street in downtown Fallbrook.

API scores are used by the state “to measure school and district performance based on student test scores,” says the California Department of Education Web site.
