Mr. Horst E. Luther, 78

Mr. Horst E. Luther, 78, passed away on September 23, 2006. He was born on June 14, 1928, in Zittau, Germany. Mr. Luther was a resident of Fallbrook, CA, for eight and a half years.

Mr. Luther was a sales manager for W.R. Grace for 25 years. He served in the US Army and had been a member of the Fallbrook Volunteer Sheriff Patrol since 1999. He was an avid bicycle rider and a member of the German Thursdee Biking Club, enjoyed mountain climbing, skiing, gardening, traveling worldwide with his wife and spending time in his Alpine log cabin with his friends.

Mr. Luther is survived by his wife of 28 years Barbara Luther, Fallbrook, CA; daughters & sons-in-law Susi & Richard Barber, England, Karen & Csaba Medgyesy, Germany, and Lisa & Ralf Goehlen, Germany; and seven grandsons.

A celebration of life will be held on October 14, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the Luthers’ residence in Fallbrook, CA. Donations can be made to the Fallbrook Hospice, 624 East Elder Street, Fallbrook, CA 92028. Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary handled the arrangements.
