Hospital parking is a pain

My mother is in her 70s and has a few remaining years left. She uses Fallbrook Hospital on a regular basis for her care. One of the many problems I have with Fallbrook Hospital is the parking problem. It seems that the employees take up as much as 90 percent of the parking spaces, which should be set aside for visitors and patients.

How do I know that employees are filling the parking spaces? Because one blue Buick Regal that used to belong to Tom Metzger, who sold it off months ago, has been in the parking lot every day since December of 2005. Tom said he sold it to an employee of the hospital.

It’s bad enough that family members have to visit their loved ones in the hospital, but being forced to park blocks away makes matters worse. The doctors and nurses make enough bucks to park elsewhere. These spaces should be reserved for visitors and patients only and employees should be banned from using the spaces.

Maybe Mr. Payton, the director of the hospital, who I call “Mr. Speaker Phone,” should create a policy that would make the hospital “visitor friendly.” Mr. Payton should park on the street too. Walking is good for the old cardio vascular system.
