Warrior golfers earn first league win

Fallbrook High School’s girls golf team obtained its first Avocado League win of the season October 12 with a 260-266 victory over El Camino at the Oceanside Golf Club course.

The match opened the second round of league competition for the Warriors, who had lost their first five conference matchups. The win gave Fallbrook a 3-9 overall record along with the 1-5 league mark.

“That was a good win for our girls to come back,” said Fallbrook coach Dave Heid.

Fallbrook had opened its season with a single-stroke loss to El Camino September 26 at Pala Mesa.
