Board approves raise for classified staff

After being sworn in as trustees of the Fallbrook Union High School District on Monday night, Bill O’Connor, Michael Schulte and Marc Steffler joined Dennis Allen and Lynn Colburn in unanimously approving the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the district and SEIU Local 2028 (classified employees union).

At a cost of $431,066 to the district for the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 school years, the agreement is subject to renegotiation insofar as salary, benefits and one other mutually agreed upon item for the 2007-2008 year. In a report of Closed Session business, O’Connor said the board agreed...
