Raisches celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Fifty years of love and friendship were celebrated by William and Catherine Raisch on their golden wedding anniversary. Surrounded by family, friends and God, they renewed their wedding vows in a mass held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fallbrook, which was led by Father Bud with readings, poems and songs by the family. The renewing of vows was followed by their reception in the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla.

A pre-reception gathering was held on the penthouse patio and the reception continued in the ballroom overlooking the ocean. Their celebration of their life and love together was attended by all five of their sons, family and friends, with guests coming from across the country to share in the moment.

Highlights of the anniversary were the renewing of the vows at St. Peter’s church, the sharing of stories and love by friends and family, the viewing of videos filled with memories and best wishes sent by those unable to attend, a letter of love from William to Catherine, the cake cutting, Catherine’s recitation of a poem and the evening’s conclusion with a beautiful song sung by William to his bride of 50 years called “She’s My Cathy.” Here’s to another 50 years!
