AAUW celebrates holidays

To celebrate the holiday season, the Fallbrook Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) enjoyed a recent evening out at the Country Club of California. Members and guests enjoyed a delicious dinner and pre-dinner drinks. The annual holiday party was chaired by Cinda Burke.

During the evening a joyful tune was heard: “The Twelve Days of Christmas” led by the inimical Chris Young, who directed the old carol. Straining to remember the order of the song’s events brought the inevitable lip-syncing and quite a few bewildered expressions but, of course, a lot of giggles. On a serious tone, Chris reminded the guests of the passing of longtime member and past president Barbara Krzmarzick, who died November 18.

AAUW will meet again in February for a program on global warming. Time and date will be announced.
